With Internet video outlets today, there are more places to air a package of news than ever. You could air newsfeeds in your personal blog, or be subjected to associate the contents or a similar website. The development of a video news package is not as difficult as it seems. You need a video camera, mini DV tapes, batteries for camera, headset, and someone using the camera for you. You also need editing software like iMovie or Final Cut Pro Bonus points would be a tripod and a wireless lapel microphone.Step 1: Decide what will CoveringEach day, there are thousands of possible events to cover as a package Video news. Decide what topic you want to do a story on. Some possibilities are public events, such as breast cancer race for cure, or seasonal themes, such as getting a flu shot.Step 2: Make ArrangementsLets say that you have decided to cover a town hall meeting in a local dispute . You need to call the city and find out who is in charge of the meeting. Call that person and tell him that you like to come film the event for an independent news story. Ask if there are some city officials who will attend will be allowed to interview. Find out who else is expected at the meeting and see if you can arrange a brief interview.Step 3: Prepare your QuestionsType a list of questions you want to ask the subjects. Think of all the "who, what, what, where, when, how, how often and how much" questions you can. Note, however, can only get a few minutes with each person.Step 3: Arrival at the meeting EarlyShow principles and set up your computer. Turn over and introduce yourself to people in charge. Let them know what is going to doing.Step 4: Get B-RollWhile is hoping that things start, the cinema both B-roll as you can get. Do things like close-ups of hands of people, groups of people talking, and plenty of casual shots to anyone who will meet later. Get outside the building for a shot context, and get some pictures of the entire room. When people come, take pictures of them. Get everything.Step 5: InterviewsWhen make your interviews, keep your ears out for good sound bites. If something was not clear, ask the patient to repeat a complete sentence. Get the whole story. Think about what viewers want to know and get that information. Make sure that the interview not only by officials but also ordinary people. Make at least 4 or 5 interviews, the combination of officials and attendees.Step 6: Write your ScriptWhen get home, see their pictures, and write the script of history. If you're doing a story about 2 minutes, how to tell the story succinctly. Work in the sound bites to his voice beyond 7: Record your voice OverOnce who has written the script, record your voice over the camera. You can leave the lens cap, and tape yourself reading the script. Try not to sound too much like a news anchor, and instead use their natural voice.Step 8: EditWhen editing a news package, set all of his first sound. This includes your voice through any natural sound, as the crowd of spectators, and fragments of sound. Make the part of the length you want it to be. Listen to all of their sound to make sure it flows well. Then put in your images. Every time someone is talking, you can use the picture of them talking, if you want. For your voice over, can sit b-roll images they have acquired on top of this. Use images of the panels to talk to the crowd, or people in the audience rose to speak. Make sure that the pace of the piece moves quickly. Change the image frequently. Nobody wants to see the same image for 30 seconds. If in doubt, use oriented images or exciting action you can find.
